i’ll be at work tomorrow while all the cab fans get their panties in a knot over this one, so here’s my opinion in advance:
everyone deserves to share their side of the story.
it doesn’t matter if you don’t like johnson or if you’ve heard about a different side of the situation than he’s seeing. it doesn’t make you a better cab fan if you jump to it and start badmouthing him.
if you don’t care about his opinion, don’t read the goddamn statement.

We feel like we’re at the point in our career now where we finally understand things. We’ve evolved into the songwriters we have always wanted to be. We get the business side of things a lot more, and most importantly, we understand that if you want things, you have to go out and get it. You can’t sit back and hope a fancy record label or big manager is going to make you the size of U2. You have to get your hands dirty and do the work yourself. Those are the people who survive the sharks.
